This policy explains how More Than Coincidence (“we”, “us”), the website at https://morethancoincidence.com, handles personal data when you use the site, create a birth chart, start a guided reflection or verify your email address. We aim to collect only what each feature needs.
Who is responsible for your data

What data we process
- Birth details you enter for a chart: birth date, birthplace and, if you provide it, birth time. For a two-person (synastry) comparison, you may also enter another person’s birth details; please only do so with their knowledge.
- Email address, if you choose to verify your email to open or save a reflection or report, and the account data needed to keep you signed in.
- Your choices and saved reflections, such as the focus, intention and pace you choose and any reflection you save to your account.
- Technical data such as IP address, browser type and request times, processed by our hosting and security systems to deliver the site, prevent abuse (for example rate limiting) and keep it secure.
Birth details can reveal personal information about you. Please do not enter information you are not comfortable sharing. A guided reflection can be used without any birth details.
Why we process it and our legal bases (GDPR)
- To provide the chart and reflection features you request (performance of a contract / steps at your request, Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).
- To verify your email and save content to your account, based on your request and, where applicable, your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) and (b)).
- To keep the site secure, prevent misuse and fix problems (our legitimate interests, Art. 6(1)(f)).
- To comply with legal obligations (Art. 6(1)(c)).
We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use your birth details for advertising.
Service providers
We use trusted providers that process data on our behalf under data processing terms, for example our web hosting provider (servers in the EU) and an authentication and database provider used for email verification and saved accounts (Supabase). How long we keep data
Birth details used only to calculate a chart are not kept longer than needed to provide that result unless you save them to your account. Account data and saved reflections are kept until you delete them or ask us to delete your account. Security logs are kept for a short period. [OWNER TO REVIEW: confirm exact retention periods.]
Cookies and similar technologies
The site uses technically necessary cookies or browser storage, for example to keep you signed in, remember your choices and protect the site against automated abuse. Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict or object to the processing of your personal data, the right to data portability, and the right to withdraw consent at any time without affecting earlier processing. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority, for example the authority in the EU country where you live or work (in Greece: the Hellenic Data Protection Authority, www.dpa.gr).
Children
The site is not intended for children under 16. Please do not use it or submit personal data if you are under 16.

Links to external services, such as AI assistants or data sources, open sites that have their own privacy terms. We are not responsible for how those services handle your data.
